rhythmbox-xine on FC3


Tried installing rhtymbox-xine but I got the following error message from rpm .. what gives?

rpm -ivh --force rhythmbox-xine_0.8.8-0.1.fc3.fr_i386.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:
        rhythmbox conflicts with rhythmbox-xine-0.8.8-0.1.fc3.fr.i386
I don't have rhythmbox installed ..

what says "#rpm -e rhythmbox"?

error: package rhythmbox is not installed

and I've rebuild my rpm database .. I downloaded the rpm from freshrpms repository .. most probably its broken ..

afaik you have to give the entire name of the package, i.e. rpm -e rhythmbox-[version]

When packages conflict I usaly do something like "apt-get install rhythmbox-xine rhythmbox --reinstall" It makes rhythmbox and rhythmbox-xine download from the same respo.

Stupid me .. I can just ignore the dependencies by using --nodeps ..
