Panel problems in KDE4.2

FC10/KDE4.2
Newbie to Linux I do not understand Linux terms, so be definitive.

Panel on bottom, of clock is covering entire Panel Bar.
And I can not see running or minimized applications on Panel Bar,and no system tray.
How do I resize clock on Panel Bar?

Right click on the clock => Digital Clock Settings :

I find no resize function.

So better try this command instead
( It should be possible to add a command applet to the Desktop )

'mv .kde/share/config/ config_backup'

Then log out from KDE, ... and log in again.
.....
