Hi,
Normally, Yum should be installed, at least when you do a fresh install. As for Up2Date, it is still part of Fedora and should be working. However, the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources file has to be modified to include valid Yum's repositories. Please note that you can also include Apt's repositories. I do not remember them right now, but if you go to the
http://fedora.redhat.com web site, there is a section where you can get these repositories. You could also go to the
http://fedora.artoo.net/faq/ web site since it provides very good hints.
