Main menu command

Hey Everyone,

Im currently working on a gDesklet design and im running up against a problem. I want to add a main menu button but I dont know the command with which to call the main menu. Does anyone know the command you would type in, let say, the terminal to call up the main menu in FC3 and then newest Gnome version? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks,
