Kvm??

Why does the KVM force me to have a Windows or Linux installation disk/ISO ready? I cannot by-pass that, nor do I want to install from my CD. I want to restore from my ghost backup image.

is there a way to by-pass it? vmware gives me exactly what i want.

by "ghost" you mean Norton Ghost? If so, unless it stores the backups as image files that you can mount, there's probably no easy way of doing it. Maybe you could install windows on the virtual box, install ghost, and load the image from there?
How exactly do you use it with vmware?

Yes, I meant Norton Ghost and any similar ghosting software that will create an complete image of your hard drive.
