htpasswd... not in effect > sorted


Hi,

Iam using FC2 and tryin to put my whole website behind user/password using the htpasswd command which seems simple, but dont what im doin wrong cause it aint workin.

Could someone give me some advice, please?

This is not a fedora issue. However, if you want some help pl give more information regarding the your .htaccess files.
Are you sure you have a apache webserver running? check the below link for more info on htaccess on a apache server

Its possible there are syntax errors in your .htaccess files. If you post it here, people might be able to help you to debug.
