how to downgrade from fedora-15 to fedora-14 ?

would preupgrade help in this situation (the dropdown box doesnt have anything selectable)?

why fedora 14 will hit end of life soon 3 , 4 months .

or is it you dislike Gnome3
if so gnome2 can be installed
or use KDE

then what install fedora 16 and gnome 3

you do know that gnome 3 is customizable
-- welcome to gnome 3 , it is here to stay
-- if you do not like it , use something else

and you CAN put icons on the desktop .

compiz-fusion -- has always been buggy mostly from the now default "nouveau" driver
and that driver requires a lot of work to remove

Scientific Linux, Redhat 6, and Centos 6 are going to be around and supported for quite some time. They use Gnome2.

I de-boarded the Fedora train when Gnome3 hit. I didn't want, or ask for, a more click-driven DE, so I am using SL6 with Gnome2.

Not saying whether Gnome3 is good or bad, just pointing OP to a distro that will be supported for a while that has the older version of Gnome.
