i need to disable redhat network auto update from gnome startup.
where is the configuration file where this service is listed?
i don't want to see that red icon near the clock.

I hated that thing too. One of the nice things about the new KDE 3.2 is that little icon is gone! I was a die-hard gnome user, but KDE 3.2 is really nice -- AND you don't have an obnoxious bright red exclamation point yelling at you all day ;-)
