When I tried to install lexmark z605 driver I got following error msg:
====================================
[kesara@localhost lex]$ sh z600cups-1.0-1.gz.sh
Verifying archive integrity...OK
Uncompressing Lexmark Printer Driver............
./xlexinstall: error while loading shared libraries: libtcl8.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The program returned an error code (127)
==========================================
Help Me inthis case.
The tutorial is fine. Except for the fact that it is for Gentoo(no big deal), secondly, it is for z601 printer(again no big deal).
But unless you install TCL you won't go any further since it is the error you get:
libtcl8.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have installed the already TCL version which comes with FC 2.
I tryed to install it according to the Gentoo Tutorial but when I entered following command I got " access denied " msg. I entered that command as the super user.
the command is
./z600cups-1.0-1.gz.sh -keep
I got following err msg:
========
bash: ./z600cups-1.0-1.gz.sh: Permission denied
===============
I entered that command as the super user.
it's a tricky part ... the file is a gzip + sh script and the script is broken
you have to open the file with a text editor and delete the script (ex: joe)
then extract it
