Question Fedora repos for qcad and qtiplot?

Hi,

I recently installed Fedora 20. Due to non-free components in qcad and qtiplot they aren't available even in rpmfusion. Is there a repo I can use to install these software using yum?

why not just use the download page ?
http://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-downloads-trial
-- 64 bit pre-built --
http://www.qcad.org/archives/qcad/qc...-x86_64.tar.gz
or buy the "pro" version
or
build the source
https://github.com/qcad/qcad/archive/v3.4.6.0.zip

What about qtiplot linux binaries?

Anyway, it is *much* easier to maintain software using yum. I'd build from the source, but unfortunately Fedora splits the header files from the libraries files into separate packages so compiling is a complicated process when compared to a Slackware or Arch Linux system...

not if it is not in the fedora repos it is not

build the source
use rpmbuild to make a rpm, from the source
use yum to install that rpm

no, it is not complicated .

on RPM based systems like Fedora,RHEL,SUSE the headers are in the "-devel.rpm"
on DEB based systems ( like Debian,Ubuntu,Mint,...) they are in the "-dev.deb" files

the package manager can auto install the devel packages ( or dev ones if debian)

and they are listed in a search
-- example --
Code:
su -
yum search png
