fedora 7 / berry 0.85 / devices lost at each reboot

Hi All,

I have a simple problem but I just don't know where to put the info. In bash I create two devices:

#/sbin/MAKEDEV /dev/ttyS0 /dev/lp0

At each reboot both the serial port modem and parallel printer are lost.
I should add that both devices work fine on desktop. Where and what do I do to create these at boot time? I made new rules </etc/udev/rules.d> that didn't work. Also tried /etc/udev/makedev.d

If you don't use Udev then you could add the 'mknod' command to /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Using Udev you could add the words ttyS0 and lp0 each on their own line to the end of /etc/udev/makedev.d/50-udev.nodes.
