Audigy2 & Kernel 2.6.1-1.149
I have the following in "/etc/modprobe.conf"
# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1
# module options should go here
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
install snd-card-0 /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install snd-card-0 && { /usr/sbin/alsactl restore >/dev/null 2>&1 || :; }
remove snd-card-0 { /usr/sbin/alsactl store >/dev/null 2>&1 || :; } ; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-card-0
# OSS/Free portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
I can fire up XMMS and see that music is playing but I have no output. If I click on the "volume control" in gnome " No /dev/sound/mixer device. However, the volume control in sound & video menu works fine & gnome-alsamixer works.
I have also ran:
/usr/src/linux-2.6.1-1.149/scripts/MAKEDEV.snd
lsmod shows everything being loaded and I also have xmms-alsa installed.
Any thoughts or ideas?
