I just installed FC1 (i386; is this allright for an Atlon XP2500+?) without pbms; my only experience in Linux is Mdk, so RH is totaly new to me.
However:
-when I get to the login screen, num lock is off; is there any possibility to get it "on" ?
-when shuting-down, I get funny characters, & "shuting-down graphical mouse service" failes (line is red).
I use a Microsoft wireless natural multimedia keyboard+ wireless optical mouse.
My other pbm is how to install my Bewan adsl PCI st modem. First thing, I wonder if FC1 kernel supports atm (can't find any ppoatm.o in lib)? If not, is there a possibility to include it? And where can I find the kernel configuration section in order to set atm, pppoatm, & ppp0 active if possible? I already figured that ppp does not includes pppoatm.so plugin, may I install instead a patched version of ppp used for other distribs (including RH)?
Fot the num lock, use setleds .. use google to find an example of setleds. Opss, if you're going to Gnome, it may turn itself off..
update:
Hmm, seems kind of stupid for me .. but the num lock key was one of the hot topic in gnome world. Why in the world we couldn't have it on by default (or may be a place where can we set it on automatically)?
For now, I guess I'll just hit it manually whenever I want to enter numeric on the numeric keypad.
