Angry APT/RPM problems

I installed Fedora Core 1 last night, and so far I've only had problems.
First there was a problem with GDM, which I fixed by switching to the Standard Greeter instead of the Graphical Greeter, but now my installed RPMs are conflicting with the new ones.
Here are a few of them I get when running 'apt-get dist-upgrade', if anyone wants to see more for whatever reason, just ask.

Code:
amaya: Depends: libXm.so.2
dia: Depends: libcom_err.so.3 but it is not installable
file-roller: Depends: libcom_err.so.3 but it is not installable
gaim: Depends: libpspell-modules.so.1 but it is not installable
Depends: libpspell.so.4 but it is not installable
gnome-applets: Depends: libcom_err.so.3 but it is not installable
gnome-desktop: Depends: libcom_err.so.3 but it is not installable
Any ideas on how I can resolve this without reinstalling everything?

EDIT:
For anyone else that may have this frusturating problem..
I was able to fix everything by reinstalling every RPM that had unmet dependencies, which was very suprising, since the Fedora Core Installation _SHOULD_ have installed the updated version of GNOME, but it apparently did not.

I think that you might want to check your sources. Not all of the repositories are quite up to speed yet so there might be some mixed repositories...look at your /etc/apt/sources file and see what's on there. There might be some older severn lists active that you might either have to change to fedora 1 or put a # in front of. I got apt today from fedora.us and the sources list was all wrong. I'm not sure, but I bet that might be part of your problem.

I checked that earlier, and commented out all my old RedHat 9 lines, so that the only two left were:
Code:
rpm http://download.fedora.us/fedora fedora/1/i386 os updates stable testing
rpm-src http://download.fedora.us/fedora fedora/1/i386 os updates stable testing
Do you know of any other repositores for Fedora Core 1, or is it too early for there to be many?

OK, I have the same changes done in mine, but I left out the "testing" as I didn't want that stuff in my "working" machine...if I get a chance, I'll try some stuff in my test machine to see if I can duplicate. Only problem is, my computer play day is about over...gotta get the kids to bed (wife out of town) and get this....do a big drive bringing a bunch of Girl Scouts to a camp tomorrow....Oh boy.

Anyway, good luck. I'm sure that there will be a lot of this kind of stuff. When I did an apt-get
today, all it offered was lilo which was kept out of the installation (I'm using GRUB anyway)...I'm interested when livna.org has their repository set...should be tomorrow or the next day.
