Application Icons missing at start up
Starting point.
The machine has been on all night but all users logged out. Also happens from a boot. A user then logs in
Issue:
Click on “Activities” left top of screen (Gnome Panel)
Click on “Show Applications” Middle screen bottom right in the dock bar
Result; Only half of the application icons shown on the App Launcher Only 2 Application Launcher screens are available with the second screen only having 1 icon. (normally there are 4 App Launcher screens each with 4 rows of Application icons).
After some considerable time (not measured but 10’s of minutes) all the App Icons eventually appear in the All Launcher screens. Can not find anything that I do that triggers the appearance of the icons as some times I can do nothing fro an extend period and go back and find the missing icons just appear.
I can in the mean time select any app and launch it clicking on an App icon in the drop down “Applications” menu in the Gnome Panel.
yes I am aware F35 has reached end of life. I want to get this problem fixed, if I can before o gp to F36 and then F37 as I intend to use dnf to upgrade
