add/remove (system config) doesn't see cdrom?
I'm running Fedora Core 3 test 2 and all is well, but now I need to add a few libraries. So I go tot the add/remove applications item to add those libraries, then I'm prompted to insert the CD. I insert the CD which gets automatically mounted by fedora but when i click on the "ok" button the installer says that it cannot read the CD. (this is untrue because after fedora mounts the CD i can browse it without any problems)
so what could be wrong here? is the installed looking elsewhere for the cd to be mounted? I did notice that FC3 mounts removeable media in /media instead of /mnt so I tried manually mounting the CD there as well but that didn't work either.
ulimately, i wanted to install two libraries that are required by FAAD2 -2.0 so that I could add ACC/MP4 support to XMMS. the libraries are libc and gtk+
