Add/Remove programs "unable to retrive system information"

greetings folks!

i have installed Fedora 7 in my system. I have made a typical installation,after rebooting i found that there is no KDE installed. i tried to installed the KDE by Add/Remove Programs in Appliacation menu. It is giving an error saying "Unable to retrive the system information".

i tried it from terminal with pirut command. it is showing that it is unable to connect to a mirror site of fedora.

HELP ME OUT.

try "yum clean all" without quotes. please post the error here

Thank you, i did get rid of this error by putting # before the urls in the /etc/yum.repo.d/fedora.repo

But how can i make default search path for package manager set to fedora DVD. I want the code to be mentioned to get this done as the package manager is generating a list of installed packages only.
