Change refresh rate

I've booted feather linux (and LIKED IT A LOT!)

But when I switched to the graphic interface, i got a 1024x768x16 @ 60Hz. I wonder if I can tweak some config files to get it up to 72 Hz, or, better still 85Hz (my monitor allows it).

Where are the config files for Xvesa? I was used to plain X, but now, I don't know...

I found the man page for Xvesa, and it says that the -screen option takes these parameters:

-screen 1024x768xdepthxfreq@rotation

So, I tried with:
-screen 1024x768x16x72@0
in my ~/.xinitrc file

But I got the same screen with 60 flickering hertz...
Any suggestions?
I used information from these pages:

It's very variable on your hardware - sometimes XVesa and XFbdev allow it, and sometimes they don't. I'm afraid they just don't have very good refresh rate support.
You could try downloading the XFree86 extension for Feather - then you can have whatever refresh rate your card supports.

Yes, I have no doubt they have every refresh rate, but It's big, isn't it? I want to remaster Feather so it will fit a 70Mb cdrom... And I already set my eyes on firefox as a 'must have'...

And about the hardware... My videocard is a Geforce 2 Mx 400.... And I'm sure it's vesa compatible...

Did you try (and succeded) in changing the refresh rate? If yes, on what hardware?

I've never needed to - it's done so automatically on my hardware.
You might want to ask on the main Feather Linux forums, http://featherlinux.berlios.de/phpBB2/index.php, where I'm known as Rob.
