Unhappy Physics can't I dual boot?

I just bought a Asus x200ma laptop that has windows 8.1 and thusforth UEFI. I followed the instructions in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=46FtBpv6Bjk as how to dual boot Windows 8.1 and Elementary OS Luna. Now when I start up my laptop there in no boot options it goes automatically to Windows 8.1. And when I enter UEFI there is no listing of elementary in the boot order. What do I do?

likely you will need to DISABLE the MICROSOFT version of uefi ( the thing from the pits of "BLEEP " called " SecureBoot" )

then you should be able to boot into a linux OS

then turn it back on to boot into windows
the thing has NO security purpose other than to STOP dual booting

It is already disabled. Unfortunately I don't see a elementary OS option.

CSM ("Compatability Support Module/Mode") should enable booting of non-EFI operating systems so you should probably leave it on (I don't know if Elementary can boot in EFI-mode).

You should definitely turn "Secure Boot" off (if you can) -- only Windows, Fedora, OpenSUSE & the *buntu's can boot with that on.

@John VV -- you may want to read this:
http://www.rodsbooks.com/efi-bootloa...ecureboot.html

Secure boot is supposed to prevent pre-boot malware.

@OP: as for your specific problem: I haven't got the time to watch a 23 minute video -- maybe you should ask the author of this "guide"...

Ok that's fine.@Head_on_a_Stick
I really just disabled secure reboot and turned on CSM set aside 195 GB of hard disk space. Than I alloted 4GB swap partition and alloted the rest to ext4 journaling system mount point / . After that I set the ext4 partiotion as the boot loader. And installed.

I was wondering, does any body know if Freya will be easier to dualboot on UEFI than Luna? I have tried it with Luna but couldn’t get it to work.. I have heard said people have gotten Ubuntu to work pretty easy. Why can't they make elementary OS easier to dual boot.
