CSM ("Compatability Support Module/Mode") should enable booting of non-EFI operating systems so you should probably leave it on (I don't know if Elementary can boot in EFI-mode).
You should definitely turn "Secure Boot"
off (if you can) -- only Windows, Fedora, OpenSUSE & the *buntu's can boot with that on.

Secure boot is supposed to prevent pre-boot malware.
@OP: as for your specific problem: I haven't got the time to watch a 23 minute video -- maybe you should ask the author of this "guide"...
