Desktop icons and wing panel is missing.

Hi there. I had installed fbmessenger in eOS which is third party app and on the website ,The tutorial was for ubuntu http://www.webupd8.org/2013/04/fbmes...-facebook.html.After installation CPU usage increased to 100% so i restarted the OS.Then during boot there was not "e" logo on boot screen.but still i am able to login into my account. After login the wing panel and everything on desktop is disappeared except the wallpaper.I can still access terminal using "CTRL-ALT-T" and can open every app through the terminal.Even i have "uninstalled fbmessenger" using this command "sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fbmessenger" Here is log file http://www.pastebin.ca/2890934. but still the problem is not resolved.I have live cd of eOS can i use that for solving this problem ?

Dear Ankush-Dhiman,
As far as i know EOS doesn't have desktop icons and as you said, it's a 3rd party app so you can't trust the source. What you could do is save al the files from the hard drive you want to keep and re install EOS with the live cd you have. If you do not want to re install EOS you could do

sudo apt-get purge fbmessenger
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fbmessenger
sudo apt-get update
sudo reboot

if this does not work please refer to the ElementaryOS Wiki

Kind Regards,
mrjenskay
