USB Boot?

Hi guys.
I've installed ETCH in my USB hard disk. During the installation I had no problem it all. But, I just can't start Etch from my USB HD. My motherboard supports boot from USB HD, however, it don't boot up, I get error message 18?
Looking in the internet I've tried to do this: Rescuegui and it wont help.
My motherboard supports usb, and my bios is set to boot my extrnal hard drive?
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

18 is "Selected cylinder exceeds maximum supported by BIOS".

Read this.

How do I correct it? I have a USB WD 120 gig external hd, which recognizes Fedora 7 and boots well. When I partition the usb with two new partitions one for Debian and the other for Fedora 7 only Fedora 7 will boot? It wont boot Debian grub without an error. I'm trying to get both on the same hard drive to run. Thanks
