Synchronize passwd and shadow for multiple debian servers

I would like to know what the best way (if any) to snyc all user names and password with Debian servers. I have several Debian machines and it has become cumbersome to change the passwords on each. Is there a way to rsync or sync the files so that users names and passwords are same for ssh. I know this defeats security from hackers, but can it be done? The systems in question are different in configuration but user names are same on all..

I may or may not implement it but want to know if can be done. Currently I have several boxes with diffrent passwords for security resason. Don't want one box to (heaven forbid) get hacked and have the attacker gain access to all systems with same password.

NIS is another option http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Transwi...tion_on_Debian or http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/NIS-HOWTO/

LDAP would be more secure
