recent wheezy update breaks ipw2200 wifi on dell latitude D510 laptop

I don't have much info on this, but when I do I'll post it. It's not a kernel issue, since switching to an older kernel doesn't fix the problem. If anyone sees a bug report, could you please post it? TIA.

Check your logs to see if anything related to wireless got updated or removed. ipw2200 requires firmware (firmware-ipw2x00) so check if that got removed in a recent update? Packages can drop out of testing if there are release critical bugs, so it's possible but unlikely. Also check dmesg output for problems with the device and to see if firmware is being loaded. The driver itself is included in the kernel image as a module. If all else fails purge and reinstall wireless-tools and wpasupplicant and delete and redo any wireless configurations via networkmanager/wicd, etc.

so I feel real stupid. The problem is gone, or at least is intermittent. This is the output of 'dmesg | grep ipw2200'. It didn't look like this before.

Code:
[    7.688054] ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.2.2kmprq
[    7.688058] ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2006 Intel Corporation
[    7.688162] ipw2200 0000:02:03.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17
[    7.688187] ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
[    8.324560] ipw2200: Detected geography ZZM (11 802.11bg channels, 0 802.11a channels)
anyway, if it comes back I'll post again. The computer dual boots and I was using windows just before it happened. I don't know why, but maybe that affected the wifi hardware somehow.
