Ntfs


I can't seem to mount NTFS on my PC. Using Sid, just installed today.

/proc/filesystems gives

nodev   rootfs
nodev   bdev
nodev   proc
nodev   sockfs
nodev   tmpfs
nodev   shm
nodev   pipefs
        ext2
        cramfs
nodev   ramfs
nodev   devfs
nodev   devpts
        ext3
nodev   usbdevfs
nodev   usbfs

Doesn't NTFS come installed default?

You have to load the module.
Code:
modprobe ntfs
Then it will appear. Unless your kernel wasn't compiled with ntfs support
