Smile Mount local filesystems...failed

I have the subject heading as error msg during boot-up. My fstab is as follows:
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
/dev/hda1 /c: ntfs noauto,user
/dev/hda2 /d: vfat noauto,user
/dev/hda3 / ext2 errors=remount-ro 0 1

#Required only if there's swap partition
#/dev/hda4 none swap sw 0 0

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
#/dev/fd0 /floppy auto user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdc /cdrom iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
#/dev/hdc /cdrw iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
#/dev/hdc cdrom udf rw,user,noauto 0 0

#Not required after installation of 'hotplug' package
#usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults 0 0

I am running 'testing, kernel 2.6.8.
Any reason for the error msg? Suggestions would be appreciated.

Ken

Try this for your root entry:

/dev/hda3 / ext2 defaults 1 1
