[SOLVED] lxde bug maximizing window

when I maximize window in lxde, the bottom of it goes all the way down, behind taskbar. is there a way to fix it so that whole window is visible as before?
(using latest debian testing)

right-click on unused space on the panel => panel preferences => advanced => CHECK both "Properties".
