Kernel panic to a new install

Hello. some days ago i installed Debian 7 on a machine. Yesterday and today after some hours of working, screen freezed and wrote out "Kernel panic bla bla bla.."
I took the screen a photo. Should i post it here to help solve the problem or the problem is unsolvable ?

Thank you

Yes, either a screenshot or a transcription of the complete error message would be fine.

Some years ago I got this error on a PC I installed Linux on and IIRC the solution was to swap the RAM sticks. The only difference is that I got this message at boot, not while the system was running.

Just out of curiosity, is this install on a virtual machine? I found some links of people getting the same error on a virtual machine.

While not saying that this will help, did you try booting recovery mode?

Sometimes this actually helps and is easy. I like easy.

You could swap the RAM sticks and see if the problem disappears.

Hmm, not sure. Maybe try running memtest all night to check if one of the RAM modules is faulty?

I didn't try Live -CD but today i changed the RAM with another and the problem still exists. So as it seems RAM chip isn't problematic. Something else is laying around.

I tried with an ubuntu live CD and wrote in C a program to count Fibonacci numbers, to make load the CPU. After some hour the machine shutted down.
Is it possible to be a temperature issue ? In CPU or in GPU ?

If me. I'd break out my live latest

http://gparted.org/livecd.php

cd and boot it up and do a file system check on all partitions after unmounting them 1st.

Since you say

Quote:
Yesterday and today after some hours of working, screen freezed and wrote out "Kernel panic bla bla bla.."
Then move on to hardware checking after that. If any data on those drives. Before checking. I would copy and backup 1st to external media like a external hard drive before proceeding.
