I went to the link you gave and when it downloaded, it said save file or open. shouldn't it say run? i'm confused.

And i tried to mark it as unsolved but it won't

Click on save the file it will get saved to your Desktop by default if you are using Firefox. Then you can move it from your desktop to /tmp folder using the following command:

mv /user/Desktop/filename /tmp

stacee, could you copy the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list file and paste them here? To view it, you can execute the following command:

cat /etc/apt/sources.list
Then you can copy the output and paste it here. (It may help us understand why apt-get can't find the flash plugin package).
