Installing 32bit libs under Amd64 Sarge

Hi ppl.

The fact is that I need some 3dbit libs (SDL in order to run Cube), but I don't know exactly which is the fastest and best way.

I've read somewhere that a way is to download the *.deb package and do:
dpkg -X zlib1g_1.2.2-1_i386.deb /emul/ia32-linux

Is that neccesarry or may I install then the old way (" -i ")?.

But I've also thought that maybe I could add some kind of 32 repository and tell apt-get with some kind of flag to download the 32 bit version instead of the other one (even if I already have installed the 64 bit version).

any suggestions?

thanx
