SCSI cdrom drives are /dev/scd? where the ? is a number
IDE cdrom drives are just like harddrives, /dev/hd? where the ? is a letter depending on which channel it is on (primary master = a, primary slave = b, secondary master = c, you get the idea).
The /dev/cdrom 'device' is almost certainly a symlink to the actual device. If you do ls -l /dev/cdrom* you should notice that is shows it to be a broken link, and where it pointed. When you know what the real device name is, you can either edit your /etc/fstab file to reflect the changes in your system, or you can remake the symlink to the now different device name - if you choose the latter, you should not have to edit your fstab.
I hope this helps.
