distorted sound in debian wheezy (stable)

hello i was using debian 7 a while ago and reverted to installing linux mint because debian 7 sound was glitchy and distorted, is there a fix for this? i currently have logitech z506 5.1 as audio system and SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC, i tryed the fixes of the searches i done through google but nothing worked.

i really want to go back and install debian again as i like the gnome desktop etc it offers, just need sound working properly as i like to listen to music and watch movies etc

any help would be appreciated
