directfb MatroxG450 Freevo MPlayer

Hi

I'm trying to get directfb working in Debian Sarge without suggest...suprise..

It seems to be only way to get tv-out working with Matrox G450.

Question:

Is it possible to get all those programs run under directfb, if i dont compile any kernel patches like here I was trying this but i got too many errors and google wasnt helpfull...

So is it possible to do this debian way (apt)

Im going to make clean debian sarge (2..6.8-2-386) install.

If i install first libdirectfb-0.9-20 and then Mplayer and then Freevo... Do i need something else. There is proper displaydriver (mga) right, or do i need newest driver from Matrox web-site?

Im using vga-scart cable and only tv, no monitor needed.

Thanks in advance

Ok, is this libdirectfb-0.9-20 same as directfb? I have it installed and it didnt ask any questions while installing, and didnt make any config-files...
