[SOLVED] debian 9.8 to 10

new to debian. I have 9.8 running nicely on an old macbook. I was wondering - once it goes to 10 whenever that will be; how long will 9.8 still be good re: security updates etc.? how long are the old versions usually maintained? thank you.
