Damn Small Linux install?!?

I've been trying to install DSL for a while, but everytime i try to install, i get an error. I tried doing it w/ a /dev/hda1 /dev/swap set up, then a /dev/hda1 only which is where i'm at now.

/hda1 is not a black device
An error occured while creating filesystem
mke2fs 1.2
/hda1: Not enough space to build proposed filesystem while setting up superblock

"/hda1: Not enough space to build proposed filesystem while setting up superblock"

Possibly your partition table is set up incorrectly. Use fdisk to print your partition table and calculate how much space you have allocated for /hda1.

"/dev/hda1 is setup as ext2, 1GB"

Then either this is a bug in DSL or the parameters that you are passing DSL are not the right ones to tell it to install on /dev/hda1. Check the syntax of the command that you are passing DSL.
