create deb package from tar.gz

hi

I need teamviewer QuickSupport as deb package, but can download teamviewer_qs.tar.gz only:

http://download.teamviewer.com/downl...ewer_qs.tar.gz

How to create deb package from teamviewer_qs.tar.gz?

I've tried to create deb package, but it doesn't work:
Code:
# tar xvfz teamviewer_qs.tar.gz
# cd teamviewer9qs
# ./configure
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
# checkinstall

checkinstall 1.6.2, Copyright 2009 Felipe Eduardo Sanchez Diaz Duran
This software is released under the GNU GPL.

The package documentation directory ./doc-pak does not exist.
Should I create a default set of package docs? [y]:

Preparing package documentation...OK

Please write a description for the package.
End your description with an empty line or EOF.

Cleaning up...OK

Bye.

Teamviewer is not open source. As you should have seen from the output, there is no ./configure; make; make install process for it.
You can just copy the .tar.gz. Wrap it in a shell script that extracts it somewhere if you want. Why does it "need" to be a deb?

Hi,

instructions on how create a quick and dirty "binary only deb" can be found by putting that string into a search engine. Depending on what is in that tar.gz you may even just be able to use alien (in package with same name).

Teamviewer does offer a deb though.
Code:
http://download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_i386.deb
32 or 64 with multiarch
