Unhappy console goes out of sync and messed up cursor

Hi, I'm currently trying to adapt 2.6.4 for myself, but I've got two problems:
1) I'm using KDE login manager, as it gives me easy way to switch to console just after boot (if I need it), although with 2.6.4 KDE works fine but if I try to go to console immidiately by choosing console in the drop down menu I've got "Out Of Sync" on my monitor, have checked XFree86 config(not sure if XFree also used to configure console) but it seems contain correct sync data which I've take from my monitor's manual(they work for me on 2.4.18). Ah yes, if I try to switch to console using CTRL+ALT+Fn it's work perfectly... What could be done to fix it? is there separate config settings for console?

2) my second problem is in X, my cursor looks really messy, it display some garbage and it's very annoying as I've to click several pixels below button to use it.

Anyone could help me out with solving these problems?
Thank you in advance!
