Can cups be ran inside chroot?

My printer (lexmark 1100x series) only has 32 bit drivers.

Would it be possible to set up a 32-bit print enviroment inside my chroot so that I can use my printer?

I don't print much and can live with out it but it would be nice if I could.

I didn't find an answer using google either. I am guessing probably no.

These may help, but you will probably have to adapt it for cupsd:

I don't use the AMD64 port myself so I am not too knowledgeable regarding chrooting 32-bit applications process, but I'm thinking that it may be possible to do what you are asking since you would be chrooting the cups daemon with all the libs, drivers, and other files it needs.
