back up and restore disk partitions

Hi

is there a package in testing which does back up and restore disk
partitions for file types like the usual once ext2/3 plus nfts "used
by windows" and lvm "used by FedoraCore5" ?

partimage does not say any thing about lvm, and its ntfs is
experimental.

thanks

You could try amanda (it's in the Etch repos). I've been meaning to tinker with it now that my new machine is setup, but I haven't gotten around to it...

I am trying to back up my 9GB hda onto hdb9 and then replace hda with a bigger one, partition the bigger one as pleased, restore the backed-up hda onto the new bigger hda.
