hi guys i use memphis which has the apt-get package go getter
thing is if i want to do a apt-get upgrade i cant cause iam on dialup and my isp disconnects me every 4 hours is there away i can configure apt-get to say time out after 3 mins so by that time kpppd has reconnect before it times out so it can just recomence dowloading packages
is there away and also am i able to install the packages it has downloaded after it disconnects
It might be best to purchase the cds from one of the fine Debian Vendors. In FreeBSD, there is a way to have the updates emailed to you during the night and then add them later. If you are interested, I will look around for something similar with Debian, just let me know.
