Hello:
I have Windows 98 on Hda1 Partition and DSL on Hda2, with a 3 or 4 more partitions under extended. I wanted to Install Fedora from online by using the link...:
http://www.howtoforge.com/unetbootin..._ubuntu_fedora
In there is a program Unetbootin that can install Fedora 7 from within Windows. But because I made the 98 partition too small (2gb), i'm kind of forced to use DSL (linux) to download and install Fedora 7. I actually tried the program from within windows 98 and rebooted my machine, but the dual boot option did not appear. I would use a CDrom, but it appears to be on it's last leg and I heard you can install Fedora 7 online this way. I'm very new to Linux, so the extracting of .sh packages is a little complex for me. The website above said that when you download the .sh package it should be self extracting within Linux.
Can I extract this type of package in DSL? I've heard there are various types of packages for Linux for various Distros (.rpm for Fedora, .deb for Ubuntu). I figured if I can extract the file from within DSL, it can alter my DSL Grub and include an option to install the Fedora 7.
