I think the DSL board is broken.
I also think the admins there don't know it since I presume there would be some discussion about the situation, or explanation about it, in one of the forums.
I think it's broken for several reasons. First, I've spotted 24 members (including myself) who registered between April 19 and June 12 and whose status on their user pages is "Awaiting authorization," i.e., we can't post. A number of these people are listed on the "Forum Rules" page of the DSL Wiki. Second is your odd situation: Your user page indicates you've been a member since April 2004 and have posted before, yet you can't now. Third, today (6/21) the statistics info at the bottom of the board's page reads: "Damn Small Linux Board welcomes our newest member making a total of registered members." In the past a user name has appeared after the word "member" and a number after the words "total of". (I think the other stats info may be off too, but I haven't been tracking them.)
Incidentally, you'll find a post in the "User Feedback" forum by sheldonisaac on behalf of another member who can't post.
I think this situation is going to hurt DSL so if you have any way of contacting anyone who can post, you're certainly welcome to pass this message on to them.
