Disply problem

Hio

Well guys Im a linux newbie and have tried DSL live boot but the problem is that when it starts it only displys properly in 640 X 480 resolution and i am used to 1024 X 768 although Dsl starts in this res but it puts up a sucking display(no icons and no wallpaper) Now :

i dont have a third party disply card and have to do only with the one embedded on my motherboard which is Mercury 845 GL

i have a LG studioworks 15 inch monitor which windows recognises as 500E

how can i display the icons and wallpapers in 1024 res.

how can i use a FAT formatted floppy while i have live booted

Thanks in advance

Just wanted to say that I've had a problem that I think is exactly what you are describing.

It's using intel integrated graphics, on several computers (same model).

I got the drivers also, didn't help
