booting DSL from USB

Hi
I'm using DSL and following the guide at:
http://rz-obrian.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de/knoppix-usb/

Its all ok until i get to this part:

Quote:
Now we still need the usb modules (that aren't on the miniroot). Mount the compressed KNOPPIX file (insmod cloop file=PATH/KNOPPIX && mount -t iso9660 /dev/cloop /cdrom) and copy the following files under /cdrom/lib/modules/$KERNELVERSION/kernel/drivers/usb/ to /mnt/modules/usb
I don't see the 'compressed KNOPPIX file', maybe because im using DSL not KNOPPIX but the guide suggests this isn't an issue. Probably im just misunderstanding, and especially what is intended with:

Code:
 (insmod cloop file=PATH/KNOPPIX && mount -t iso9660 /dev/cloop /cdrom)
Any help greatly appreciated

I just got the KNOPPIX iso and have tried the same procedure with it but there is no different files.

The only file called KNOPPIX is a shell script, if i open it i see this:
Code:
#!/bin/sh
#V1.0 Format
insmod cloop.o file=$0 && mount -r -t iso9660 /dev/cloop $1
exit $?
and the rest of the file is compiled/compressed(?) as its unreadable. If i try to mount this with cloop i get the following from dmesg:

Code:
cloop: /dslBoot/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX: 1805 blocks, 65536 bytes, largest block is 4294534401 bytes.
cloop: out of mem for compressed buffer 4294534401
before i rebooted cloop was giving me 'KNOPPIX is not a regular file' warnings. I cant understand what the KNOPPIX file is or why im trying to mount it in this way.

This is the code I use to mount cloop files on DSL 0.9.2
Code:
mount -t iso9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/cloop2 <name_of_file> <dir_to_mount>
In your case, <name_of_file> is that huge KNOPPIX shell script.
Hope this helps
