Question Abiword and DSL

Hello

I have downloaded and installed the abiword (non- gtk2)extension from the DSL repositories.
AbiWord works, however the colors are all messed up. I have a X running in 8bpp (256 colors, and I can't go any higher)) and AbiWord seems to run in 16bpp. Is there a way to configure AbiWord to run in 8bpp with a commandline- option or editing a file or something?

I tested the gtk2- version to, but it is the same problem and a lot slower.

Any help appreciated..
