I got a Geforce 4 MX440 video card, and I installed today the Conectiva Linux, but Conectiva didn't recognize the video card.
What can I do? I have tried to find a driver but I didn't find anything to Conectiva....
Pls help me.....

go to www.nvidia.com and download the driver from there.
i suggest using the tar.gz files. you will need:

NIVIDIA_kernel-1.0-4191.tar.gz
NIVIDA_GLX-1.0-4191.tar.gz

to install do this (as root):

tar -zxvf NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.tar.gz
tar -zxvf NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.tar.gz
cd NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123
make install
cd ../NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123
make install

then edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config file
change:
Driver "nv"
to:
Driver "nvidia"

remove or comment out (adda # to the beginning of the line):
Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"

add:
Load "glx"

edit your /etc/modules.conf or /etc/conf.modules - whatever one you have - add the following line:
alias char-major-196 nvidia

REBOOT (shutdown -r now) or just restart X (ctrl-alt-backspace)
