LinuxQuestions.org Community Bulletin

For unsubscription information, please see the bottom of this email.

A lot of news to report this week. First, the migration to a separate db server was completed without a hitch. Thanks again to Jeff from ASL who donated the server. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=111710 if you have any questions about the migration.
Two more distributions have joined LinuxQuestions.org. LQ will be the home of the only official Fedora Project forum. The forum will have participants from both the Fedora Project and Red Hat. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=111868 for the announcement or go right to http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=35 for the Fedora forum. I'd also like to welcome VectorLinux to LQ. Thanks goes to Robert, who worked with me to set the forum up and will be participating in the forum. You can view the announcement http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=115937 or go right to http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=36 for the VectorLinux forum.
We have added a new section to LinuxQuestions.org. The HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) will allow you to enter your hardware into the system and view what devices other members have (and haven't) been able to get to work in Linux. The system will be 100% populated by LQ members, so please enter and rate all the hardware you have. Visit the HCL - http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/
LinuxQuestions.org will once again be participating in the .org Pavillion at the LinuxWorld Expo. If you'll be in New York City for the Expo, stop by and see us. The announcement is available here - http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=112091
The 2003 LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Awards have started. There are awards for Distro of the Year, Browser of the Year, Office Suite of the Year and many more. We started a little earlier than last year so the polls will be closed by the start of LinuxWorld, which will allow us to hand out the awards at the expo. This is your change to be heard. Vote Now - http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=37
