problem building chrome on slackware15

I have tried to follow the directions for installing google-chrome on my slackware 15 system.
I ran the wget code in order to download the google-chrome....deb file. I omitted the i386 version (.deb file) because I am running a 64 bit system.
Here is the contents of a new directory called 'chrome-install':

-rw-r--r-- 1 jwc users 90845912 Jan 9 10:24 google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
-rwxr-xr-x 1 jwc users 4168 Jan 9 10:16 google-chrome.SlackBuild

When I run the Slackbuild as root here is the result:

ar: /home/jwc/chrome-install/google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb: No such file or directory
xz: (stdin): File format not recognized
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, jwc

From the instructions on this link -->https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...me-the-latest/

Quote:
Examples:
If you don't have yet Chrome installed you can do so by
simply by running:
/opt/google-chrome-the-latest/google-chrome-the-latest.py install

At any time you can force a download from Google site and upgrade
without any pop-up window with:
/opt/google-chrome-the-latest/google-chrome-the-latest.py silent upgrade
Have you got the pre-req's installed? From the INSTALL file;

Quote:
In order to run this program you need to install the packages Python3 and PyGtk,
both available on the stock Slackware distro.
