Why is it happening with my Postfix ?? CentOS

Hi Everyone !

I hope you are doing well today. I've a server running under CentOS 7 with Postfix. Actually I'm not able to stop mail queue due to ''unknown'' process running in the background that I did not find out. So already tried removing 'master.pid' from /var/spool/postfix, but have no success on it. Also I did try 'service postfix stop' and ''service postfix restart'' with same failure.

Perhaps someone might help me to deal with this as my mailbox becomes very busy and can not leave my server stopped as well...

Can you give me your help please ?

Thank you all guys ! Have a nice day.

Please elaborate. What did you do to stop the mail queue, how did it fail, and how do you know that an unknown process running in the background is responsible?

the answer that solved my problem was just to remove the
--> "/var/spool/postfix/defer*"
and calm got back to my CentOS server...
