Hi Guys!
I am new to Linux, I have cent OS version 6, and I installed samba version 3.3 on it. For some reasons i cannot upgrade my machine, this server is in production environment so please give me something which is real not just to test, I can see i can access shares from windows machines in my network if i create new directory from scratch things are beautiful till hare, as I mentioned this is production environment I already have some directories created in home directory but if i try to share those i can see from windows side but i cannot browse through them, i get an error message 'user does not have permissions to access this folder'
or windows credential window pops up and does not take any credentials, I need help is there any certain way to share already created folders or something I did assign permissions to all folders but no success, i have been working on this for more than 24 hours with out any break.
Any response will be highly appreciated, if you need more details i can provide, please spare some time and help me out, this is a humble request from a professional to professionals.

Never Mind i figured it out, i had no problems with my configurations, my server just needed a reboot, I could not do that during business hours so i did that at midnight, everything is working smoothly the way I wanted.
