LightDM restrict how users enter the username

Hi Hive Mind

We have just upgraded to EL7 and using lightdm instead of gdm which were using on EL6.

We are now getting users who i logging in using their email address (bar@foo.com) instead of just their login name (bar. I guess this is working as we are using sssd which knowns about their email address.

Is there anyway i can tell lightdm/lightdm-greeter to not allow this

Thanks
Adam
